Built in 1746 – this Colonial inn allows guests to step back in time, with all the comforts of today. With wide-planked floorboards, candlelit breakfast and a fireplace in every room, you’ll feel transported to another era. For those seeking the creature comforts of today – we offer flat-panel TVs, air conditioning, whirlpool tubs with Tommy Bahama soaps and shampoos, and wifi throughout the house. Have a nip of sherry in the parlor – or a chat with the innkeeper in the kitchen – then retire to your room.

THE DEACON offers five elegantly appointed guest rooms – each with its own private bathroom. All rooms offer a fireplace – choose from wood burning (we provide the wood!) or gas. Some rooms feature a whirlpool tub for bubbly relaxation, some rooms offer a separate sitting area for quiet reflection. Complimentary bottled water and chocolates grace every room. Let us know your travel needs and the number in your party, and we’ll make a recommendation.

When was the last time you enjoyed a home-cooked breakfast, served by candlelight on fine china? Frittatas and omelets, fresh fruit, croissants – whatever our chef dreams up. Or, if you’re rushing off to a meeting – grab something quick like a yogurt and an egg. Either way, you’re going to love it. Of course, dietary restrictions will be happily accommodated.
